A Healthy, Lighter Fare that was Pleasantly Filling

I placed a to go order for lunch and came back for dinner. Twice in one day!

This place is so authentic and very delicious. I’m used to the overstuffed, greasy gyros most places offer, but after I tried the gyros here, I can never go back! The gyros are nicely packed with a good meat to veggies ratio. The best part is, their gyros are not greasy! They are a healthy, lighter fare that was pleasantly filling.

The owners are quite lovely and they treat their customers like family. I haven’t gotten to a name-to-name basis here yet, but I can tell they have many loyal regulars. They greeted each one by name! My goal is to get to that point one day! – Justine P.

Polite staff and delicious food

Polite staff and delicious food. Aswell as healthy; you leave feeling good. Prices are reasonable and there is a lot to try. The food came out very quickly, and I had a lot of fun exploring the shelves of Arabic groceries. I took back some halva and pita, and I am very happy. I will return. If you have a chance, give this place some love. And don’t be afraid to chat with the owners; they were happy to answer my questions of their culture. – John G.

The Best Tabbouleh We’ve Ever Had

“The food is authentic and delicious! We ordered the special of the day, malfouf [stuffed cabbage rolls] and they were fresh and well seasoned, and the falafel platter. The falafels are made on the spot, AFTER you order them [no frozen or pre-prepared falafels from them] and are awesome. Also, the hummus was great and the tabbouleh may be the best tabbouleh we’ve ever had.

I highly recommend this place.

Oh, and side note, even though it says they are only open til 7:30pm, if you call ahead and let them know you want to have dinner there they will “wait for you”. No joke. It is that kind of place. They can go ahead and adopt me. I already feel like part of the family.”      – Hilary L.

Jacksonville’s Best Kept Secret

“The Best Falafel In Jax, Hands Down…. I have overlooked this place for many years on the way to Tijuana Flats next door. I have been to MANY places in Jax, more than 6, and I will not name names, but Noura has the BEST falafel in Jax. Only started going here recently since a friend of a friend posted so many good things about the place. The owner is friendly, and he told me the falafel are made to order, so they don’t get tough, overly chewy, etc etc. And they aren’t. They are perfect! I also get the hummus and babaganoush. Those are great too. Husband gets the falafel wrap that he also says is the best in Jax. We will be back repeatedly, for sure. Their grocery has pretty fantastic prices as well. Two paws way up! Now paws off my falafel, ok? :)” –San Jose Poodle

Jacksonville Middle Eastern Cuisine

“First impression…authentic, clean, busy, original, traditional, small, friendly. Greek salad was fresh with excellent feta. Falafel sandwich was perfectly cooked, light, mild, flavorful, filling without the overpowering yogurt sauce. Too full to eat the hummus tabbouleh wrap. Try the mango juice drink; it is mango lassi in a bottle. One last note, the baklava was delicious, not to sweet. What a great find!” – JD
